When we refurbish a laptop we do it to the highest industry standards. The following are just a few of the procedures involved in refurbishing a laptop.

- Test the laptop for any defects. Clean and check the laptops interior. The fan, heatsink and mother board amonst others are cleaned.

- Replace any faulty parts. Please note that if we have to replace a faulty part the cost of the part has to be met by the customer. (N.B. We won't replace a faulty part without notifying you first.)

- Remove all software products installed. (Note: You can specify what software you want left remaining on your machine.)

- Virus Check and Virus Removal.

- Defragmentation of the hard disk.

- Test the CMOS Battery.

- Test the laptop battery. If faulty, replace the battery, with the customers permision but the cost of a new battery has to be met by the customer.

- Data Removal and data shredding. (Please note that you don't have to have your data removed)

- Privacy Agreement. SJC & Co agree not to open any of your files or look at any of your data.

- Free space shredding. (Note: when files are deleted basically the file name only is removed from the FAT table (File Access Table). The data remains on the harddisk until overwritten. Free space shredding will completely remove this data. We shred to the U.S. Military's standards.)

- The laptop is professionally cleaned.

Please note that if you can't bring your laptop into us because of distance; most couriers will charge around £10.00 for delivery and we will send it back via courier at cost of around £10. Even with a delivery charge we are still more competative on price than the vast majority of laptop refurbishers.

For laptop refurbishment of 10 laptops or more we can come and pick up your laptops, refurbish them and return them to you with no transportation costs to you. Our free pick up and return service is UK nationwide.
